How do I get a Quote?

Step 1: Tell us about your shipment

Begin by clicking “Get A Quote” in the top bar next to the Quick Search.

1. Select Your Customer Account

The first thing you will need to do is select your Customer Account from the dropdown menu.

Most users will only have one Account.
If you represent more than one Customer, ensure you have the correct account selected each time you begin a Quote.

2. Choose Your Shipping Date

This is the date your goods will be ready to be collected.

3. Enter Origin and Destination

Origin (Shipper Location): Where goods will be collected.
Destination: Where goods will be delivered.
Be precise—this can affect shipment cost.

If there are any particulars (e.g., military base, lift gate required), you will be given the option to add these Extras on the next screen.

4. Select Shipment Type

Choose between:

Full Container
Freightable Items (pallets, boxes, bales, drums, etc.)

If Shipping Freightable Items:

For each item type, enter:

Commodity Description
Quantity
Dimensions (length, width, height)
Combined Weight

Notes:

Add as many items as you need.
Switch between Metric and Imperial units using the dropdown.
Use the Cube Calculator for palletized loads.

Below this section you will see four summaries:

Total Weight – auto-calculated
Total Pieces – auto-calculated
Freight Class – auto-selected by the system
- On international shipments, this cannot be changed.
Stacking – whether your items can be safely stacked with others.
- Stacking means your goods have a flat, stable surface and can support another item on top.
- Available only on shipments within the EU.

If Shipping a Full Container:

Provide:

Commodity Description
Total weight
Number of containers
Size of each container

Container size options:

20′ DV: Standard 20-foot container (~33 m³ capacity).
40′ DV: Same as 20′ but twice the length, for larger loads.
40′ HC: A 40-foot container that is 1 ft taller, for bulkier or taller cargo.

You can enter multiple containers of the same type, or click Add Container to add different sizes or goods.

5. Proceed

Once all details are entered, click Choose Services to proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Select any additional services

On this screen, you can select Additional Services, sometimes called Accessorials by carriers.

These are optional services or conditions that can affect the cost of your shipment.

Examples include:

Delivery to special locations (e.g., hotels, schools, or residential addresses)
Pickup or delivery at a specific time
Other service requirements based on location or handling needs

Each service has a small “i” icon next to it. Click this icon to read a detailed description before selecting.

Step 3: Selecting your Quote

On this screen, you will choose from the available Quotes. Depending on the details of your shipment, you may see anywhere from a single quote to thousands of options.

At the top of the screen, a map displays your shipment’s route. Use this as a quick check to confirm your origin and destination are correct (for example, Portland, Oregon vs. Portland, Maine).

Filters (Left Panel)

Shipping Product (Air, Ocean, etc.)
Door service (Door to Door, Door to Port, Port to Door)
Ports you want to use or avoid
Carriers included in your quotes

Quotes (Right Panel)

Quotes are displayed as individual Cards. Each card shows:

Carriers involved
Route details and transit time
Exact cost
Average carrier reliability (e.g., 90% on time)
Liability information
Quote expiration date/time

QUOTE TABS

Each card has three tabs:

Route: Breaks the shipment into Legs (e.g., truck → container ship → truck).
Charges: Itemized breakdown of shipment costs. Additional Services you selected will appear here. The total is displayed on the right.
Reliability: Average reliability per carrier, based on system historical data.

Scroll down to view all available quotes.

When you find the one that meets your criteria, click Select to move forward.

You can sort quotes by:

Price
Shortest Delivery Time
Carrier Reliability
