If a DHL booking doesn't go through, an error message will appear at the top of the booking screen. While the message may point to a possible cause, DHL doesn't always provide the exact reason for the failure. Before trying again, check the following:
Pickup Details
Pickup Date: If the selected pickup date falls on a holiday, DHL may be unable to process the booking. Try selecting a different pickup date.
Email Address: A valid email address is required for both the pickup and delivery addresses. Make sure both email fields are completed.
Pickup Location: DHL does not offer pickup service in every location. If the pickup address is outside DHL's service area, you can either use a different pickup address within DHL's service area, or drop the parcel off at a nearby DHL service point.
Address Details
Postal Code: DHL requires a valid postal code for both the pickup and delivery addresses. Double-check that the postal code matches the address entered.
Address Format: Make sure the address is complete and correctly formatted. Incomplete or invalid addresses are a common cause of booking failures.
Character Limits: the company name and address fields must not exceed the following character limits:
-- Company name: Maximum 60 characters -- Each address line: Maximum 45 characters
If you've checked all of the above and the booking still fails, please contact our support team for further assistance.
